Language should be a bridge — not a barrier
About Us
At Speak Topeka, our goal is to build bridges to overcome barriers to communication. We do this by building partnerships with families as we provide individualized treatment while equipping parents and caregivers to build strategies for ongoing success.
Our Philosophy
Our treatment philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach to speech therapy that encompasses the values of individualized care, evidence-based practice, and the vital role of home-based intervention. We believe that effective communication is a cornerstone of personal and social growth, and our commitment to this principle guides every aspect of our services.
Individualized care
Central to our philosophy is the understanding that each client is unique, with their own communication challenges, strengths, and goals. We incorporate personalized plans of care in all our services, with regular assessments to measure progress and provide feedback to clients and families.
Evidence-based treatment
We embrace evidence-based therapies as the foundation of our practice, utilizing the latest research and proven techniques to provide the most effective interventions. This commitment ensures that our clients receive therapies that have demonstrated positive outcomes in similar cases, enhancing the likelihood of successful results.
We provide a holistic, home-based alternative to clinical and scholastic settings.
Speech begins in the home. As children develop, their environment shapes the language they will use to interact with their world. In recognizing the critical role of the home environment, we extend our approach beyond traditional clinic settings. We firmly believe that progress is optimized when therapy strategies seamlessly integrate into daily life. Our therapists work collaboratively with clients and their families, offering guidance and tools that empower them to continue therapeutic exercises and techniques at home. This holistic approach fosters consistent and meaningful progress that extends beyond therapy sessions.
